In this article
Memovance PRO is a once-a-day capsule sold online as a memory and focus supplement. If you've seen it advertised and want to know what's inside, what it costs and whether the science backs it up, this review covers all three.
We based it on the Supplement Facts label, the seller's order page and published research on each ingredient. We didn't run our own test of the product, and nothing here is a personal story or a customer testimonial.
Key takeaways
- Memovance PRO is one vegetable capsule a day, with 30 capsules per bottle.
- The label lists L-arginine (400 mg in two forms), L-citrulline (200 mg in two forms), beta-alanine (40 mg), niacin (7.5 mg NE) and calcium (18 mg). There are no herbs, mushrooms or caffeine.
- These ingredients are mostly studied for blood flow and exercise. Direct memory research is thin, and the studies that exist used doses many times higher than one capsule provides.
- At the time of writing it cost $49 to $79 per bottle depending on the package, with a 60-day money-back guarantee counted from the ship date.
- It's stimulant-free and the doses are modest, but people on blood pressure medicine, nitrates or erectile dysfunction drugs should ask a doctor first.
What Is Memovance PRO?
Memovance PRO is a dietary supplement marketed to adults who feel their memory, focus or mental energy isn't what it used to be. The seller describes it as a daily, non-stimulant capsule for mental clarity and focus. The label says it's manufactured in the USA with globally sourced ingredients, and the order page adds that it's made in an FDA-registered, GMP-certified facility, which we couldn't confirm independently.
The idea behind the formula is circulation. L-arginine and L-citrulline are amino acids your body uses to make nitric oxide, a molecule that helps blood vessels relax. The manufacturer's pitch is that healthy blood flow supports the brain. That's a reasonable theory, but it isn't proof that this capsule improves memory.
One detail is worth knowing up front. The seller's short product description mentions "vitamins, minerals, and botanical ingredients," yet the Supplement Facts panel lists no botanicals at all. This review follows the label.
Memovance PRO Ingredients: The Full Label
Here is everything on the Supplement Facts panel for one capsule, which is one serving:
| Ingredient | Amount per capsule | % Daily Value |
|---|---|---|
| Niacin | 7.5 mg NE | 47% |
| Calcium (as calcium carbonate) | 18 mg | 1.5% |
| L-Arginine (base) | 200 mg | Not established |
| L-Arginine AKG 2:1 | 200 mg | Not established |
| L-Citrulline HCl | 100 mg | Not established |
| L-Citrulline Malate | 100 mg | Not established |
| Beta-Alanine | 40 mg | Not established |
Other ingredients: hypromellose (the vegetable capsule), vegetable stearate and silicon dioxide.
L-Arginine (400 mg in Two Forms)
L-arginine is an amino acid found in protein foods such as meat, fish, dairy, nuts and beans. Memovance PRO includes 200 mg of plain L-arginine and 200 mg of arginine alpha-ketoglutarate (AKG) 2:1, a salt that pairs arginine with a compound from the body's energy cycle. Part of that second 200 mg is the AKG carrier, so the real arginine content is a little under 400 mg.
The most relevant human study we found is a 2022 trial in 72 frail older adults with high blood pressure. After four weeks, people taking L-arginine scored better on a standard cognitive screening test (the MoCA) than people taking a placebo. The group was narrow, the trial was short and the dose was 1.66 grams twice a day, about 3.3 grams daily. That's at least eight times the arginine in one capsule.
L-Citrulline (200 mg in Two Forms)
L-citrulline is an amino acid found in watermelon, and the body converts it into arginine. In a controlled study of 20 healthy volunteers, oral citrulline raised blood arginine levels more effectively than arginine itself and increased markers of nitric oxide activity. Doses went up to 3 grams twice a day, yet none of the dosing plans improved a standard measure of blood vessel function compared with baseline.
Memovance PRO provides 200 mg of citrulline compounds, split between a hydrochloride (HCl) form and a malate form, which is citrulline bound to malic acid. We found no published trials testing citrulline on memory in people.
Beta-Alanine (40 mg)
Beta-alanine is an amino acid that raises carnosine levels in muscle, and it's best known as a sports supplement. The International Society of Sports Nutrition's position stand describes typical doses of 4 to 6 grams a day for at least two to four weeks.
Two small studies looked at thinking skills. In a 2018 trial of 12 middle-aged adults, 2.4 grams a day for 28 days helped keep executive function steady after hard exercise. In a 2023 trial of 100 older adults, 2.4 grams a day for 10 weeks didn't improve overall MoCA scores compared with placebo, though the subgroup that started with lower scores improved.
The 40 mg in Memovance PRO is about one-sixtieth of the dose used in those studies.
Niacin (7.5 mg NE)
Niacin is vitamin B3. Your body needs it to turn food into energy, and severe deficiency (pellagra) can affect the brain. According to the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, adult women need 14 mg NE a day and adult men need 16 mg NE, and severe deficiency is rare in the U.S.
A large observational study in Chicago found that older adults who got more niacin from food had a lower risk of Alzheimer's disease and slower cognitive decline. That shows a link, not cause and effect, and it measured diet, not supplements. The 7.5 mg here covers about half the daily need and stays well under the 35 mg upper limit for supplemental niacin, so flushing is unlikely.
Calcium (18 mg)
Calcium plays a role in nerve signaling, but 18 mg is about 1.5% of the Daily Value, roughly what's in a tablespoon of milk. It's too little to matter either way.
What You Won't Find on the Label
There's no bacopa, ginkgo, omega-3, lion's mane, caffeine or L-theanine, the ingredients most often studied for memory and focus. To compare the evidence for each, see our guide to memory supplements.
What the Research Says, at a Glance
| Ingredient | In Memovance PRO | Amount used in studies | Memory evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| L-Arginine | About 400 mg (two forms) | About 3.3 g a day | One 4-week trial in frail older adults with high blood pressure |
| L-Citrulline | 200 mg (two forms) | Up to 6 g a day | Raises arginine and nitric oxide markers; no memory trials found |
| Beta-Alanine | 40 mg | 2.4 g a day | Mixed; no overall benefit in 100 older adults |
| Niacin | 7.5 mg NE | Dietary intake | Observational link only |
| Calcium | 18 mg | Not applicable | Too small to matter |
The honest summary: the idea is plausible and the ingredients are real, but the research mostly measures blood flow and exercise, each capsule holds a small fraction of the amounts studied, and there are no published trials on the product itself. The NIH's complementary health center says the same about the whole category: direct evidence that supplements protect thinking skills is lacking.
How to Take Memovance PRO
Take one capsule a day with an 8-ounce glass of water. For best results, the label suggests taking it 20 to 30 minutes before a meal, or as directed by your healthcare professional. Don't exceed the recommended dose. One bottle lasts 30 days, and the seller says results depend on consistent use over several months and vary from person to person.
Is Memovance PRO Safe?
At these doses, side effects seem unlikely for most healthy adults. Beta-alanine can cause harmless tingling and niacin can cause flushing, but only at much higher doses. Some people get mild stomach upset from amino acid supplements. Arginine and citrulline can lower blood pressure slightly, which matters if you already take medicine that does the same thing.
Safety first
Talk to your doctor before taking Memovance PRO if you take blood pressure medicine, nitrates for chest pain or erectile dysfunction drugs, or if you have heart disease, kidney disease or low blood pressure. The label says it isn't for people under 18 or for pregnant or nursing women. If memory problems are new, getting worse or affecting daily life, see a doctor before trying any supplement. Read our medical disclaimer.
Who It May Suit (and Who Should Skip It)
Memovance PRO may suit you if:
- You want a simple, stimulant-free capsule instead of more caffeine
- You already cover the basics (sleep, exercise, blood pressure checks) and want to try a nitric oxide–focused formula
- You accept that the evidence is limited and see the 60-day guarantee as your safety net
You may want to skip it if:
- You want the ingredients with the most memory research, which we compare in our memory supplements guide
- You take blood pressure medicine, nitrates or erectile dysfunction drugs without your doctor's OK
- You're pregnant, nursing or under 18
- Your memory or focus problems started suddenly or keep getting worse. See a doctor first, and check our guide to brain fog causes.

FAQ
What is Memovance PRO used for?
The seller markets it to support focus, memory and mental clarity. The formula is built around L-arginine and L-citrulline, amino acids the body uses to make nitric oxide. It's a dietary supplement, not a treatment for any disease.
What are the ingredients in Memovance PRO?
Each capsule contains niacin (7.5 mg NE), calcium (18 mg), L-arginine (200 mg), L-arginine AKG 2:1 (200 mg), L-citrulline HCl (100 mg), L-citrulline malate (100 mg) and beta-alanine (40 mg), in a hypromellose capsule with vegetable stearate and silicon dioxide.
Does Memovance PRO work?
There are no published studies on Memovance PRO itself. Its ingredients have research for blood flow and exercise and a few small studies on thinking skills, but those used much higher doses. Results will vary, and the 60-day guarantee limits the financial risk of trying it.
Can I take Memovance PRO with my medications?
Ask your doctor or pharmacist first, especially if you take blood pressure medicine, nitrates or erectile dysfunction drugs, or if you have heart or kidney disease. Arginine and citrulline can lower blood pressure slightly.
What is the Memovance PRO refund policy?
At the time of writing, the order page described a 60-day money-back guarantee from the ship date. You contact support for a return authorization, then return all bottles, empty or unopened. Check the official site for the current terms.
The Bottom Line
Memovance PRO is a simple, stimulant-free capsule with a fully disclosed label. Its theory, supporting nitric oxide and blood flow to help the brain, has some scientific logic. The weak spot is the dose: each ingredient is present at a small fraction of the amounts used in studies, and there's no direct research on the product.
If you want to try it, the 60-day guarantee lowers the risk, and the 6-bottle package had the lowest price per bottle at the time of writing. Keep expectations realistic and put sleep, exercise and blood pressure control first. The National Institute on Aging also advises talking with a doctor about any noticeable change in memory.
